My creative journey began long before Commapix was formed. Coming from a background shaped by drawing and design, I was initially drawn to photography as a way to support and expand my visual world. It taught me things about design, art, fashion, composition, light, and human presence in ways nothing else could replace.
Over time, photography became more than a tool within my creative process — it became an inseparable part of it.
Balancing both design and photography was never easy; in many ways, it became the hardest part of my creative journey because I loved them equally. Yet that tension is what gradually shaped the way I see and create.
Through this journey, I became deeply interested in the relationship between storytelling, atmosphere, and visual form. What first started as a fascination with capturing moments slowly evolved into a desire to create imagery that could hold emotion, movement, and memory all at once.

The idea Behind
Commapix
One of the earliest ideas behind Commapix goes back to when I was around eleven or twelve years old. In school, during reading classes, we were taught to pause briefly whenever we reached a comma — a small moment to slow down, breathe, and continue reading with more attention and understanding. That idea stayed with me for years.
In many ways, Commapix was inspired by that same concept. “Comma” became a symbol of pause — a space to reflect, observe, feel, and look a little closer. A moment where creativity, emotion, and different artistic perspectives could come together instead of rushing past one another.
By adding “pix,” I wanted to emphasize the digital visual medium itself — a world built through pixels, imagery, motion, and visual storytelling. Together, Commapix became more than just a name; it became a creative channel where I could think, create, collaborate, and invite other artistic minds into the process of building a new vitual.
Mahsa Malek
A tenacious visionary with an uncompromising eye for atmosphere, Mahsa Malek has developed a distinctive visual language at the intersection of animation, concept design, and photography. Her background in animation allows her to do more than capture a moment; she architects it — translating raw ideas and sketches into refined cinematic compositions shaped by mood, movement, and emotion.
Mahsa is a lifelong student of light, form, and visual storytelling. By bridging the technical precision of commercial production with the narrative depth of editorial imagery, she has become known for a visually restrained style — stripping away distraction to reveal portraits and landscapes that hold both atmosphere and intention.
Driven by curiosity and deeply influenced by light, environment, and human presence, she sees visual creation as more than producing images; it is about creating moments that invite people to pause, feel, and look a little closer.
