My goal, both as an individual artist and through Commapix, is to explore the space between still imagery, motion, and illustration, blending photography, drawing, and Designs to create visual experiences that feel layered, unexpected, and visually alive. I’m deeply interested in transforming concepts into visual narratives that not only capture attention, but leave a lasting sense of curiosity and connection.
How It All Started
My creative journey began as a teenager in Iran, long before Commapix existed. I grew up drawing and designing, and I first picked up a camera to support and expand that visual world.
Photography taught me things nothing else could: composition, light, fashion, and the quiet power of human presence.
Over time, it became more than a tool. It became an inseparable part of how I create. Balancing design and photography was never easy, because I loved them equally. But that tension is what shaped the way I see.
When I moved to the United States, photography became my foundation. It was how I built a career and supported my family. Along the way, I studied animation, and for a long time I believed I’d eventually step fully into that world. But I never wanted to choose just one.
So I created Commapix: a studio where ideas come first, and any medium, whether camera, pencil, or stop-motion, can bring them to life. My goal is simple: to create images that hold emotion, movement, and memory all at once.
why comma + pix?
In school, we were taught to pause at every comma: a small breath before continuing, so we could read with more attention and understanding.
That lesson never left me. A comma isn’t an ending. It’s a pause that gives what comes next more meaning. It’s where we stop, look a little closer, and let the story be felt before we read on.
I borrowed that idea when I founded Commapix.
The comma stands for work that makes you stop before you move on. Pix is the visual side: pixels, images, motion, and storytelling.
Together, Commapix became more than a name. It’s a creative space where I think, make, and collaborate with other artists to build a new visual language.
