The aim of this photoshoot was just to show the process of a hair artist, Azai, while she was cutting one of her client’s hair. Despite the limited budget for this shoot, I decided to take the time to get to know Azai’s personality in order to better guide my post-production process. I realized how deeply she focuses and how much she values her connection with each client  and that became a key point for me when thinking about the final images. So, I decided to simply follow Azai’s rhythm throughout the workday, focusing on both her communication and her craft, and letting the language of photography speak for them both.
